Roof Insurance Claim Assistance
Storm damage roof inspections, detailed photos and repair estimates to help you document damage for your insurance claim.
Storm Damage? Start With a Free Roof Inspection
High winds, hail and falling limbs can damage a roof in ways that are hard to spot from the ground. Salvation Roofing inspects your roof, documents what we find and gives you the information you need to make a decision about filing an insurance claim.
How Our Insurance Claim Assistance Works
- Inspection: We carefully inspect shingles, flashing, vents, gutters and other roof components for storm damage.
- Photo documentation: We take clear photos of the damage so you and your insurer can see exactly what we found.
- Repair estimate: We prepare a detailed estimate for the repairs or replacement your roof needs.
- Meet your adjuster (with your permission): We can attend the inspection and point out the damage we photographed. Your insurer still decides coverage and payment.
- Repair or replacement: Once you’re ready, our crew completes the work with quality materials and careful workmanship.

Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Roof Replacement in NC?
Sometimes. It depends on your policy and on what caused the damage. Sudden damage from storms, wind, hail or falling trees is often covered, while normal wear, aging and lack of maintenance usually are not. Some policies pay the full replacement cost and others pay actual cash value after depreciation, and your deductible applies either way. Only your insurance company can tell you what your policy covers, so read it or ask your agent. If a fallen tree damaged your deck as well, we can photograph and estimate the deck repair along with the roof.
How Long Do I Have to File a Roof Insurance Claim?
Check your policy; the deadline is set by your policy and your insurer, not by us. Many policies require you to report damage “promptly,” so it is wise to call your insurer soon after a storm, take dated photos from the ground and keep receipts for any temporary repairs.
What to Expect After You File
Your insurer usually sends an adjuster to inspect the roof. We can share our photos and estimate, and with your permission we can be there to point out the damage we documented. The insurer then decides what is covered. Once you are ready, our crew completes the roof repair or roof replacement.

Not sure your roof was damaged? Our storm and hail damage roof repair page covers the warning signs, what hail damage looks like and what to do right after a storm.

Storm damage often goes beyond the roof, so our inspection also checks fascia, soffit, siding and leaks. See siding repair.
